Unilog increases its foothold in the UK
Strategic Alliance Fills Mid-Market M&A Void
Manchester, 8th December 2003 - Unilog announced the acquisition of Mezenet Ltd., a Manchester-based business intelligence consultancy. Both companies have signed a definitive agreement under which Unilog is to acquire 100% of Mezenet shares.
Founded in 1997 by Samantha Brocklebank, Mezenet employs 30 consultants specialising in SAP business intelligence solutions. This focused expertise is seen as a key asset for Unilog, which has been established in the UK for over two years, and launched an SAP practice six months ago.
With a turnover of c£3M (4.5M) for the current financial year, Mezenet has a strong track record of steady growth.
For Gérard Philippot, President of Unilog strengthening our presence in the UK, and more generally in northern Europe, is a strategic priority for Unilog. The choice of Mezenet is a first illustration of our acquisition approach, which is that we aim for selected and controlled growth. This acquisition adds to Unilog’s existing SAP capability of 800 business- and IT-consultants across France, Germany, Britain and Switzerland.
Mezenet’s client list includes major companies such as Unilver, Novartis and BBC Worldwide, and the company shares the same culture of customer service as Unilog.
For Samantha Brocklebank, joining Unilog achieves two key objectives for Mezenet. It makes us a leading SAP business intelligence consultancy across Europe and also reinforces our culture and values: Unilog featured in the top five European companies to work for in a recent Wall Street Journal survey.
