First Stop Computer Group acquires Resolution Systems Ltd

Surbiton based systems integrator First Stop Computer Group Ltd has acquired Croydon based network systems integrator Resolution Systems Ltd from Resolution Group Ltd.

Resolution Group retained The Catalyst Group to sell its subsidiary and to present the Group with a choice of potential buyers. Ken Symons, Managing Director of Resolution Group Ltd, commented "This was a strategic divestment for the Group and will allow us to focus on our core business, the provision of Total Practice Management to legal and professional firms based around our FirmWare software suite. Catalyst succeeded in providing us with a choice of buyers at an acceptable price. We chose First Stop Computer Group because the fit was excellent, and we are sure they will continue to provide good support to the blue chip client base we had gained over the last 10 years. We felt they valued our staff and management team appropriately, and they were able to complete the transaction within our required timescale."

Catalyst identified the operational synergies and cultural fit of the two businesses.

First Stop recognised that the acquisition and integration of Resolution Systems was an ideal way to accelerate its revenue growth, to enhance its solutions offerings, and to strengthen its technical & sales teams. First Stop also recognised that the similarities in the two organisations would make integration relatively painless for staff and customers.
